Half Life.

Half-life is one of the most impressive games EVER! It has genuinely intelligent enemy AI and the graphics are amazing.

Mind you a high end computer is essential to get the most out of this game but it is well worth it. The story line is actually original which for a first person game is hard come by and it is a welcome change. But most of all the interaction with the NPC's is one of the key elements of this game.

It makes it feel like you really are at work when it all goes wrong. It is a highly entertaining game and is a staple for future developers to work on. The monsters are really well constructed and there is a huge variety of enemies.

The Quest For Glory Series.

It has to be said that this series is one of the best Point and click adventure series ever and with the release of Quest for glory 5 Dragon Fire it seems likely that it'll stay a hit for quite some time. I can't get any screenshots right now but soon I'll get some. Sierra have a reputation for making great adventure games with the Police Quest and Space Quest series being top notch games. All of these games have involving stories and take a good chunk out of your life to complete.

Daggerfall The Elder Scrolls Chapter 2

This game is absolutely HUGE!! It has thousands of cities and towns. There are three main countries in this game with dozens of others to visit and explore. There are hundreds of different character classes each with their own plethora of numbers that are a staple of any good RPG. There is the usaul skills that appear in most RPG's like Longblade,running,stealth. There are several different ways to play the game not including the character type you pick but depending on what actions you take during the play of the game.
